Boruto: Naruto Next Generations recap

The anime opens with a flash-forward: an older Boruto stands against Kawaki, who says the age of shinobi is over, in the ruins of the village. Then it goes back to Boruto's Academy days. In the early arcs, Boruto and his classmates solve mysteries at the Academy, Mitsuki joins, and Boruto, Sarada and Mitsuki form Team 7 under Konohamaru. The Chunin Exams and Momoshiki's attack are retold from the film, and Boruto gets the Karma mark on his hand. He travels back in time with Sasuke and meets the young Naruto. Kawaki, a boy with the same mark, arrives fleeing the Kara organisation, and Naruto adopts him. Kara's leader, Isshiki Otsutsuki, captures Naruto and wants Kawaki as a host. Naruto uses a new mode, Baryon Mode, to beat Isshiki, which costs the life of his partner Kurama, the Nine-Tailed Fox, and Sasuke loses his Rinnegan. A new threat arrives: Code, a Kara member with Eida and Daemon. Momoshiki starts to take over Boruto's body.
