The story

For his entire life, Izuku has dreamed of being a hero—an ambitious goal for anyone, but an especially challenging one for a boy without superpowers. That’s right: in a world where 80% of the population has some sort of special Gift, Izuku was unlucky enough to be born completely normal. But that won’t stop him from enrolling in one of the most prestigious hero academies in the world to learn what it truly means to be a hero.

My Hero Academia Season 1 recap

My Hero Academia season 1 (2016) follows Izuku Midoriya, a boy born without a Quirk in a world of superpowers, who still dreams of becoming a hero. The 13-episode first season from Bones, directed by Kenji Nagasaki, aired on MBS from April to June 2016. Izuku Midoriya (Daiki Yamashita) throws himself at a villain to save his bullying childhood friend Katsuki Bakugo (Nobuhiko Okamoto), and the watching hero All Might (Kenta Miyake) reveals his secret: he is badly injured, and his power, One For All, can be passed on. After months of training on a beach, Izuku inherits it and enters the hero course at U.A. High, but his body breaks whenever he uses it. In Class 1-A he befriends Ochaco Uraraka and Tenya Iida, faces Katsuki in a battle trial and learns from the teacher Shota Aizawa. The League of Villains, led by Tomura Shigaraki, then attacks a training site with a monster built to kill All Might. This is the place to start.
