Kingsman: The Secret Service recap

In 1997, a Kingsman trainee dies saving the agent Harry Hart, codenamed Galahad, and Harry gives the man's young son, Eggsy, a medal with a number to call for help. Seventeen years later, Eggsy is a jobless young man living with his mother and her violent boyfriend, Dean. After he is arrested for stealing a car, he calls the number, and Harry gets him out and puts him forward for the open Lancelot position, after the previous Lancelot is killed by Gazelle, the bladed-legged henchwoman of tech billionaire Richmond Valentine. Eggsy trains under Merlin with other candidates, including Roxy. Valentine plans to cull humanity with free SIM cards that broadcast a signal making people violently attack each other. Harry tests it unknowingly at a hate church in Kentucky, where he kills the whole congregation, and Valentine shoots him in the head outside.

Kingsman: The Secret Service ending explained

Eggsy learns the head of Kingsman, Arthur, is working with Valentine and poisons him. With Merlin and Roxy, now Lancelot, he raids Valentine's mountain base. Merlin triggers the implanted chips of Valentine's wealthy allies, making their heads explode, and Eggsy kills Gazelle and then Valentine with one of her blades. Back home, Eggsy, now a Kingsman, offers his mother a new life and confronts Dean in the pub.
