Tom and Jerry Tales is an American animated television series featuring the cat-and-mouse duo Tom and Jerry.

Tom and Jerry Tales (2006) returns the cat and mouse to the style of their original theatrical shorts, with three seven-minute cartoons per episode. Warner Bros. Animation and Turner Entertainment made it for Kids' WB on The CW, where it ran two seasons and 26 episodes from September 23, 2006, to March 22, 2008; Joseph Barbera developed it with Rob LaDuca and Jeff Davison. Barbera, who created Tom and Jerry with William Hanna, served as executive producer until his death on December 18, 2006, making this the last Tom and Jerry project he worked on. Tom (Don Brown) and Jerry (Sam Vincent) chase each other through houses, kitchens and far-off places, joined by the little mouse Tuffy, the bulldog Spike (Michael Donovan), the alley cat Butch (Colin Murdock), the housekeeper Mrs. Two-Shoes (Nicole Oliver) and Toodles Galore, with Droopy in some segments. Each episode groups its three shorts around a shared theme, such as a trip that runs from the African veldt to the Australian Outback and a Malaysian monkey garden. Some shorts were first made in 2005 for a planned slate of more than 30 theatrical cartoons, cancelled after the box-office failure of Looney Tunes: Back in Action, which is why the first season carries a 2005 copyright.
Tom and Jerry Tales ending explained
Tom and Jerry Tales ends with its 26th episode, aired March 22, 2008, made up of "Game of Mouse & Cat," "Babysitting Blues" and "Catfish Follies." In the first, Jerry plays a virtual reality game in a laboratory in which Mrs. Two-Shoes likes him and Tom is the one who is scared, until Tom arrives to play too. There is no finale; the chase simply continues. Kids' WB closed later in 2008, and the pair returned in The Tom and Jerry Show, which ran from 2014 to 2021.
