Ocean's 11 recap
Danny Ocean and Jimmy Foster gather nine of their old buddies from the 82nd Airborne for a New Year's Eve job in Las Vegas: robbing five casinos at once, the Sahara, the Riviera, the Desert Inn, the Sands and the Flamingo. At midnight, they blow up a power tower, the Strip goes dark, and the backup electrical systems, rewired by the crew, open the cashiers' cages instead of the lights. They take the money, dump it in the hotels' trash bins, and a garbage truck driven by one of them carries it past the police roadblocks. Then the crew's electrician, Tony Bergdorf, drops dead of a heart attack on the Strip, and a retired gangster, Duke Santos, works out who did the job and demands half.
Ocean's 11 ending explained
The crew hides the money in Tony's coffin to ship it out of town for burial in San Francisco, keeping some aside for his widow. She decides to hold the funeral in Las Vegas instead, and the coffin, with all the money, is cremated. The crew walks away from the funeral home with nothing.
