Heat recap
Neil McCauley, a disciplined professional thief, leads a crew that robs an armoured car in Los Angeles. A new member, Waingro, kills a guard, and the job turns into a murder. Neil tries to kill Waingro, who escapes. LAPD Lieutenant Vincent Hanna, obsessed with work while his third marriage falls apart, starts tracking the crew. Neil lives by a rule never to have anything he can't walk out on in 30 seconds, then falls for a graphic designer, Eady. Hanna and Neil meet over coffee and agree each will do what he must. The crew robs a downtown bank, and Hanna's squad gets word of it in time, sparking a huge shootout through the streets. Several of the crew die, and Neil's partner Chris Shiherlis is wounded but slips away.
