The story

Reality programmers at DangerTainment select a group of thrill-seeking teenagers to spend one night in the childhood home of serial killer Michael Myers. Their planned live broadcast turns deadly when Michael decides to crash the party.

Halloween: Resurrection recap

It turns out the man Laurie beheaded in H20 was a paramedic Michael had swapped clothes with and crushed. Laurie, now in a psychiatric hospital, has been waiting for Michael. He comes, and she lures him onto the roof into a trap, but hesitates to make sure it is him; he stabs her, and she falls to her death. A year later, internet entrepreneurs Freddie Harris and Nora Winston run Dangertainment, a reality webcast that sends college students to spend Halloween night in the Myers house wearing head cameras. Sara Moyer, one of the students, is reluctant, and her online friend Deckard watches the stream from a party. Michael comes home and starts killing the contestants live on camera.

Halloween: Resurrection ending explained

Deckard guides Sara through the house by text as the audience watches. Freddie fights Michael off and electrocutes him in the garage, and the house goes up in flames with Michael inside. Freddie and Sara are interviewed as heroes. Michael's body is taken to the morgue, and in the last shot his eyes open as the coroner bends over him. The H20 timeline ended there.
