Tron recap
Kevin Flynn, a programmer who now runs an arcade, wrote several video games that his former colleague Ed Dillinger stole and passed off as his own, making Dillinger the senior executive of ENCOM. Flynn keeps hacking ENCOM's system looking for proof, and the Master Control Program, an artificial intelligence that runs the company's network and is absorbing other programs, blocks him. Flynn's friends Alan Bradley and Lora help him break into ENCOM, and the MCP digitises Flynn with an experimental laser and pulls him into the computer world. There, programs who believe in their human Users are forced to fight in deadly games under the MCP's commander, Sark. Flynn escapes a light cycle match with Tron, a security program written by Alan, and the program Ram. Flynn discovers he can bend the rules of this world. With Lora's program Yori, they make for the input/output tower so Tron can contact Alan.
How Tron ends
Tron receives Alan's code and fights his way to the MCP. Sark is defeated, and while Flynn jumps into the MCP's beam to distract it, Tron throws his disc through its shield and destroys it. The system is freed, and Flynn is sent back to the real world, where the evidence that he wrote the games prints out. Dillinger is exposed, and Flynn becomes the head of ENCOM, greeted by Alan and Lora.

Tron: Legacy recap
In 1989, Kevin Flynn, now ENCOM's CEO, tells his young son Sam about the Grid, a digital world he has built, and then disappears. Twenty years later, Sam is ENCOM's rebellious majority shareholder who pranks the company each year. Flynn's old friend Alan Bradley gets a page from Flynn's abandoned arcade, and Sam, investigating, is digitised into the Grid. Sam is forced to fight in the Games and is brought before Clu, a program Flynn created in his own image to build a perfect system. Clu's enforcer, Rinzler, nearly kills Sam in a light cycle match before Quorra, a program, rescues him and takes him to Flynn, hidden off the Grid for years. Clu turned on Flynn, killed Tron, and wiped out the ISOs, a race of programs that arose on their own, of whom Quorra is the last. The portal home will close soon, and Clu wants Flynn's identity disc so he can lead an army into the real world.
How Tron: Legacy ends
Clu gets Flynn's disc, and Sam, Flynn and Quorra reach the portal. Rinzler, who is really Tron, remembers himself and attacks Clu, falling into the Sea of Simulation. Flynn reabsorbs Clu, destroying them both, so Sam and Quorra can escape. Back in the real world, Sam takes control of ENCOM, with Alan as chairman, and shows Quorra her first sunrise.

Tron: Uprising recap
Set between the two films, after Clu has taken over the Grid, this 19-episode animated series follows Beck, a young mechanic in Argon City who works at a garage run by Able with his friends Mara and Zed. Clu's forces occupy Argon under General Tesler. After a friend is killed, Beck fights back and is found by the real Tron, who survived Clu's coup in secret and is badly damaged. Tron trains Beck and lets him take on his identity as a masked Renegade, a symbol for the city's programs. Beck doubts he can live up to the name. Through the season he is captured and forced into the games, faces a stolen identity disc that unravels his memory, and fights Tesler's mind-controlled army, while Tesler's commander Paige, whom Beck is drawn to, and her rival Pavel hunt the Renegade. Able learns Beck's secret. Beck discovers that Tron trained other renegades before him, and Tron's former apprentice Cyrus returns to frame the Renegade for the killing of an innocent program.
How Tron: Uprising ends
The series ends unresolved after one season. In the finale, Tron reveals that he is dying, and he and Beck go after the Occupation's new super recognizer, the only thing that can cure him. The show was cancelled, so Beck's story stops there; by Tron: Legacy, Tron has been turned into Clu's enforcer, Rinzler.

Tron: Ares recap
ENCOM and Dillinger Systems are racing to bring digital constructs into the real world, but anything printed by their lasers falls apart after 29 minutes. ENCOM's CEO, Eve Kim, finds Kevin Flynn's permanence code at a remote station in Alaska and uses it to create a lasting orange tree. Julian Dillinger, grandson of Ed Dillinger, presents Ares, a program built as the perfect expendable soldier, and sends him with another program, Athena, to steal Eve's data. Ares begins to show self-awareness and spares an injured program. In a light cycle chase through the city, Eve destroys the drive holding the code, and Julian digitises her onto the Dillinger Grid, where the code can be found through her identity disc. Ares strikes a deal with Eve, her freedom for permanence, and the two escape to the real world while Athena is ordered to destroy him.
How Tron: Ares ends
Eve and her colleague Seth take Ares to Flynn's old office to send him to Flynn's Grid. Athena attacks and kills Julian's mother, Elisabeth, and on Flynn's Grid Flynn gives Ares the permanence code. Ares, now permanent, stops Athena, who dies in his arms as ENCOM's team shuts down the Dillinger mainframe. Julian digitises himself. Ares leaves to find Sam and Quorra, and ENCOM uses the code for good.
Post-credits scenes
Yes. In a mid-credits scene, Julian, trapped in a damaged digital world, takes a glowing disc from a plinth that once belonged to Sark, and it builds a Sark-style suit and helmet around him, setting up a sequel.
