Men in Black recap

NYPD officer James Edwards chases a suspect who runs up walls and leaps off a building before saying something strange about the end of the world. Agent K of the Men in Black, a secret organisation that monitors aliens living on Earth, recruits him; James becomes Agent J, erasing his old identity. A giant alien bug lands upstate, kills a farmer named Edgar and wears his skin. The Bug is hunting a tiny galaxy, which it can trade to end a war, held by an Arquillian prince living in disguise as a jeweler. The Bug kills him, and his dying words, that the galaxy is on Orion's belt, lead J and K to his cat, whose collar holds the galaxy. An Arquillian warship threatens to destroy Earth unless the galaxy is returned. The morgue doctor Laurel Weaver, who examined the alien bodies, becomes a target when the Bug kidnaps her.

How Men in Black ends

The Bug tries to escape on one of the flying saucers disguised as towers at the 1964 World's Fair grounds. J and K shoot it down, and the Bug swallows K and his gun; K blows it apart from inside, and Laurel finishes off the last half. K, tired of the life, asks J to neuralyze him so he can return to the woman he left behind. Laurel joins the MIB as Agent L and becomes J's new partner.

Men in Black: The Series recap

This animated series, which ran for four seasons and 53 episodes from 1997 to 2001, picks up after the first film in its own continuity: Agent K never retires, J is still treated as the rookie, and Agent L works at headquarters, which has moved beneath LaGuardia Airport. Most episodes are standalone cases in which J and K deal with alien criminals, smugglers and invasions, with Zed sending them out from headquarters. The main villain is Alpha, the founding chief of the Men in Black and K's old mentor, who turned criminal and grafts rare alien body parts onto himself in pursuit of immortality, growing more monstrous each time he returns. Other recurring enemies include the insect-like Bugs led by their Bug Queen, who return in several invasion attempts, and the oil-hungry Ixions. Some episodes explore K's past and bring J face to face with people from his own life before he joined.

How Men in Black: The Series ends

The series ends with the finale, "The Endgame Syndrome", in which Alpha is finally killed. J and K are still partners at the end. The show was not expected to be renewed after its third season, whose finale was written as a possible ending, before a fourth season followed. The film sequels do not follow its continuity.

Men in Black II recap

Five years later, J is the agency's top agent and keeps neuralyzing his partners, and K, now Kevin Brown, works at a post office in Massachusetts with no memory of the MIB. Serleena, a shape-shifting Kylothian who takes the form of a lingerie model, arrives on Earth hunting the Light of Zartha, a powerful object that K hid years earlier. She murders the owner of a pizzeria, and a witness, Laura Vasquez, catches J's eye; he does not neuralyze her. Serleena takes over MIB headquarters. Because only K knows where the Light is, J restores K's memory with an old deneuralyzer, and pieces of his past come back in stages, leading them to clues he left himself: a locker at Grand Central Terminal, whose tiny inhabitants worship him, and a video store. The Light, K finally remembers, is not an object at all.

How Men in Black II ends

The Light is Laura, the daughter of the Zarthan queen, who left her on Earth for protection. Serleena is swallowed by a giant worm, and Laura must leave Earth before the Light destroys the planet, leaving J heartbroken. K neuralyzes the city to wipe the event from public memory, then returns as J's partner. K reveals that our universe is itself inside an alien's locker.

Men in Black 3 recap

Boris the Animal, a Boglodite assassin whose arm K shot off and whom he imprisoned in 1969, breaks out of a lunar prison. Boris travels back in time to kill K before their encounter. J wakes to find that K died forty years earlier and that no one but him remembers his partner, while a Boglodite fleet invades Earth, possible now that K never deployed the ArcNet shield in 1969. Agent O, now running MIB, helps J time-jump from the Chrysler Building back to the day before the original encounter. In 1969, J teams up with the younger K and meets Griffin, a gentle alien who can see many possible futures at once and carries the ArcNet. The trail takes them to Andy Warhol's Factory, Shea Stadium and the Apollo 11 launch at Cape Canaveral, where the ArcNet must ride the rocket into space.

How Men in Black 3 ends

The ArcNet launches on the rocket, and the older Boris burns in its exhaust. Afterward, the colonel who helped them gives his life saving K from the younger Boris, whom K kills. K then neuralyzes the colonel's small son, who was waiting in the car: the boy is J. Back in the present, J and K meet at a diner with their partnership restored, and J now understands why K has watched over him.

Men in Black: International recap

As a child, Molly Wright sees MIB agents neuralyze her parents and helps a small alien escape. Twenty years later, she tracks down the agency and talks her way in as probationary Agent M. Agent O sends her to the London branch, run by High T, where she partners with Agent H, a cocky star agent who once saved the world with High T by fighting off the Hive, an alien race that takes over its hosts. The pair protect Vungus, an alien royal, who is killed by Hive agents disguised as twins, and before dying he hands M a crystal that turns out to be a compact superweapon. M picks up a small alien, Pawny, as a sidekick. The trail leads through Marrakech and the Sahara to an island fortress owned by Riza Stavros, an arms dealer and H's former lover. M becomes convinced there is a mole in MIB London.

How Men in Black: International ends

The mole is High T, who was taken over by the Hive during the fight years earlier that made H's name. At the Eiffel Tower, a portal opens for the Hive, and the twins and High T attack. H confronts his mentor, and M uses the weapon to destroy High T and seal the portal. Agent O makes M a full agent, and she and H stay partners.
