Watchmen recap

In an alternate 1985 where Nixon is still president and costumed heroes have been outlawed, the Comedian, Edward Blake, is thrown from his apartment window. Rorschach, a masked vigilante still working illegally, suspects someone is killing former heroes and warns his old colleagues: Dan Dreiberg, the retired Nite Owl; Laurie Jupiter, the second Silk Spectre; Adrian Veidt, the businessman once called Ozymandias; and Doctor Manhattan, the near-godlike Jon Osterman, who keeps the Cold War in check. After a TV interviewer accuses Manhattan of giving his old associates cancer, he exiles himself to Mars, and the Soviets move on Afghanistan as the Doomsday Clock nears midnight. Laurie leaves Jon and falls for Dan, and the two return to costumed work. Rorschach is framed for murder and jailed, and Dan and Laurie break him out. Laurie learns the Comedian was her real father.

How Watchmen ends

Rorschach and Nite Owl trace the conspiracy to Veidt, who has framed Manhattan by setting off energy blasts in New York and cities around the world that kill millions, uniting the US and USSR against Manhattan. The heroes agree to keep the secret for the sake of peace, except Rorschach, whom Manhattan kills. Manhattan leaves for another galaxy. Rorschach's journal, mailed before he left, sits in the slush pile of a right-wing newspaper, where a young staffer reaches for it.

Man of Steel recap

As Krypton dies, Jor-El sends his newborn son Kal-El to Earth, and the military leader Zod, after a failed coup in which he kills Jor-El, is banished to the Phantom Zone. On Earth, Clark Kent grows up in Kansas with Jonathan and Martha Kent, hiding his powers; Jonathan dies in a tornado rather than let Clark reveal himself. As an adult, Clark drifts from job to job until he finds an ancient Kryptonian scout ship in the Arctic, where a recording of Jor-El tells him who he is and gives him his suit. Reporter Lois Lane tracks him down. Krypton's destruction has freed Zod, who arrives on Earth and demands that Kal-El be handed over. Clark surrenders, and Zod reveals a plan to turn Earth into a new Krypton, wiping out humanity.

How Man of Steel ends

Superman destroys Zod's World Engine while the military sends Zod's ship and crew back into the Phantom Zone. Zod survives, and their fight levels much of Metropolis. When Zod tries to kill a family with his heat vision, Superman breaks his neck. Clark then takes a job at the Daily Planet alongside Lois.

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice recap

Bruce Wayne watched his building and staff destroyed during Superman's fight with Zod, and eighteen months later, as an older, harsher Batman, he sees Superman as a threat to humanity. Clark Kent, meanwhile, condemns Batman's branding of criminals. Lex Luthor, a young tech billionaire, recovers kryptonite from the World Engine and gains access to Zod's ship. A bombing at a Senate hearing on Superman, arranged by Lex, turns the public against him. Bruce steals Lex's kryptonite and builds weapons from it, and he keeps crossing paths with Diana Prince, who is after a photograph Lex holds of her from 1918. Lex kidnaps Martha Kent and forces Superman to fight Batman. Batman nearly kills Superman with a kryptonite spear, until Superman says "Martha", the name of Bruce's mother too, and Lois explains.

How Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice ends

Batman rescues Martha while Lex uses Zod's body to create Doomsday. Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman fight it together, and Superman drives the kryptonite spear into Doomsday and is impaled in return, killing them both. Lex is jailed and hints that something is coming. At Clark's funeral, Bruce tells Diana he wants to find the other metahumans. In the final shot, dirt on Clark's coffin lifts off the lid.

Suicide Squad recap

With Superman dead, intelligence officer Amanda Waller forms Task Force X, a team of imprisoned villains fitted with explosive implants: the marksman Deadshot, Harley Quinn, the pyrokinetic gang member El Diablo, Captain Boomerang, Killer Croc and the rope expert Slipknot, under Colonel Rick Flag and his bodyguard Katana. Waller also controls the Enchantress, an ancient witch possessing archaeologist June Moone, Flag's girlfriend. The Enchantress breaks free, frees her brother Incubus and starts building a machine to destroy humanity in Midway City. The squad is sent in, told they are extracting a VIP; Slipknot is killed trying to escape. The VIP turns out to be Waller herself, and the Joker keeps trying to rescue Harley.

How Suicide Squad ends

Learning the truth, the squad walks off, then chooses to fight anyway. Diablo sacrifices himself to kill Incubus, and Flag crushes the Enchantress's heart, freeing June. The villains get time off their sentences and small comforts, and the Joker breaks Harley out of prison.

Post-credits scenes

Yes. In a mid-credits scene, Waller meets Bruce Wayne and hands him files on metahumans in exchange for protection. He tells her to shut the task force down or his friends will, setting up Justice League.

Wonder Woman recap

In the present, Diana Prince receives the 1918 photograph Bruce Wayne recovered, and she remembers. Diana grows up on Themyscira, the hidden island of the Amazons, trained in secret by her aunt Antiope. In 1918, American pilot Steve Trevor crashes off the coast, followed by German soldiers. Steve, a spy, has stolen the notebook of Doctor Maru, who is making a new poison gas for General Ludendorff. Believing the war is the work of Ares, the god of war, Diana takes the Godkiller sword and leaves with Steve for London. There, Sir Patrick Morgan backs their mission while the British command sues for peace. Diana crosses no man's land and frees the village of Veld, and she believes killing Ludendorff will end the war.

How Wonder Woman ends

Diana kills Ludendorff, but the fighting goes on. Ares is really Sir Patrick, who has stoked the war, and Diana learns she is the true godkiller, Zeus's daughter. Steve flies the gas-laden plane up and blows it up, dying to save others. Diana destroys Ares, and in the present she emails Bruce her thanks and takes up her mission.

Justice League recap

With Superman dead, the world is losing hope, and the alien conqueror Steppenwolf returns to Earth to gather three Mother Boxes, hidden long ago by Amazons, Atlanteans and humans, which together can remake the planet. Bruce Wayne and Diana Prince recruit a team: the young speedster Barry Allen, the Flash; Arthur Curry, Aquaman; and Victor Stone, Cyborg, rebuilt by his father with a Mother Box. Steppenwolf takes the boxes from Themyscira and Atlantis and kidnaps scientists, including Victor's father. The team decides to use the last box to bring Superman back to life, and he returns without his memory and attacks them until Lois calms him. This entry is the 2017 theatrical cut; Zack Snyder's Justice League, released in 2021, tells a longer version of the same story with a different ending.

How Justice League ends

The team attacks Steppenwolf's base in a Russian town as he unites the boxes. Superman joins them, Flash and Superman save the townspeople, and together they separate the boxes. Steppenwolf, overcome by fear, is carried off by his own Parademons. Bruce plans a headquarters for the team, and Clark returns to Lois and the Daily Planet.

Post-credits scenes

Yes. In a mid-credits scene, Superman and the Flash race to settle who is faster. In a post-credits scene, Lex Luthor, escaped from prison, meets Deathstroke on a yacht and proposes they form a league of their own.

Aquaman recap

Arthur Curry is the son of a lighthouse keeper and Atlanna, queen of Atlantis, who was taken back to the sea to be executed for having a half-human child. A year after the Justice League battle, Arthur fights pirates on a submarine and leaves the father of one, David Kane, to die, setting Kane on revenge as Black Manta. Mera, a princess of Xebel, brings Arthur to Atlantis because his half-brother King Orm is uniting the undersea kingdoms to attack the surface. Arthur challenges Orm to ritual combat and loses. He and Mera escape and set off to find the lost Trident of Atlan, following clues from the Sahara to Sicily while Manta, armed by Orm, hunts them.

How Aquaman ends

Arthur finds the Trident in a hidden sea guarded by the leviathan Karathen, and finds his mother Atlanna alive there. He takes command of the sea creatures, defeats Orm in single combat and spares him. Atlanna returns to the lighthouse to reunite with Tom Curry, and Arthur becomes king of Atlantis with Mera beside him.

Post-credits scenes

Yes. In a mid-credits scene, Black Manta, washed ashore, is rescued by Dr. Stephen Shin, a scientist obsessed with Atlantis, who agrees to fix his suit if Manta leads him there.

Shazam! recap

In 1974, the ancient Wizard Shazam tests young Thaddeus Sivana and rejects him. Decades later, Sivana, now a scientist, finds his way back to the Rock of Eternity and takes in the Seven Deadly Sins, monsters that give him power. The dying Wizard instead chooses Billy Batson, a fourteen-year-old runaway searching for his mother, who has just been placed in a group home in Philadelphia with five other foster kids. Saying "Shazam" turns Billy into an adult superhero. With his foster brother Freddy, a superhero fan, he tests his powers and starts using them for money and attention. Sivana comes for him, and Billy finds his birth mother, who abandoned him on purpose.

How Shazam! ends

Sivana takes Billy's foster siblings hostage at a winter carnival. Billy shares his powers with Freddy, Mary, Darla, Pedro and Eugene, and the six beat the Sins together. Billy pulls Envy out of Sivana and leaves him powerless. The family moves into the Rock of Eternity as their base, and Superman visits Freddy's school lunch table.

Post-credits scenes

Yes. In a mid-credits scene, Sivana in prison is visited by Mister Mind, a small talking caterpillar who proposes they team up. In a post-credits scene, Billy tests whether he can talk to fish, while Freddy films and mocks him.

Watchmen recap

In 2019, thirty-four years after Adrian Veidt's fake alien squid killed millions in New York, the Tulsa police wear masks to protect themselves from the Seventh Kavalry, white supremacists inspired by Rorschach's journal, after the "White Night" attacks on officers' homes. Detective Angela Abar works as the masked Sister Night. When police chief Judd Crawford is lynched, Angela finds the elderly Will Reeves at the scene. Will is her grandfather, a survivor of the 1921 Tulsa massacre, and was secretly the first masked hero, Hooded Justice. FBI agent Laurie Blake, once Silk Spectre, arrives to investigate. The trillionaire Lady Trieu builds a mysterious clock, the Kavalry and Senator Joe Keene plot to seize Doctor Manhattan's power, and Veidt, exiled by Manhattan, plots an escape from a prison on Europa. Angela's husband Cal turns out to be Doctor Manhattan, who has hidden as a human with no memory of himself.

How Watchmen ends

The Kavalry captures Manhattan, and Keene tries to absorb his power but is destroyed. Lady Trieu, Veidt's daughter, takes Manhattan to steal his powers, killing him, until Veidt drops a rain of frozen squid that kills Trieu and saves Tulsa. Laurie arrests Veidt. Angela eats an egg Manhattan suggested might pass on his powers, and the series ends as she steps toward the pool to see if she can walk on water. It is a limited series with no sequel.

Birds of Prey recap

Harley Quinn and the Joker break up, and once the news spreads, everyone she has wronged in Gotham comes after her. The most dangerous is Roman Sionis, a crime lord called Black Mask, who wants a diamond containing the account numbers to the Bertinelli family fortune. A young pickpocket, Cassandra Cain, steals and swallows the diamond. Harley saves her life by promising Roman she will get it back. Meanwhile, nightclub singer Dinah Lance, Roman's driver, has a sonic scream; detective Renee Montoya is building a case against Roman; and the Huntress, Helena Bertinelli, is killing the men who murdered her family. Their paths meet at an abandoned amusement park where Roman sends his army.

How Birds of Prey ends

The five women team up and fight off Roman's men, and Harley and Cassandra kill Roman with a grenade. Montoya quits the police and joins Dinah and Helena as the Birds of Prey, funded by the Bertinelli fortune, while Harley and Cassandra sell the diamond and open a business of their own.

Post-credits scenes

Yes. In a post-credits audio scene, Harley offers to tell a secret about Batman, and the screen cuts out before she can.

Wonder Woman 1984 recap

In 1984, Diana Prince works at the Smithsonian, still mourning Steve Trevor. A citrine stone recovered from a robbery comes to the museum, and her shy colleague Barbara Minerva, who wishes she were like Diana, studies it. The stone grants wishes: Diana unknowingly wishes for Steve, who returns in another man's body, and Barbara gains Diana's strength and confidence. Failing oil businessman Maxwell Lord steals the stone and wishes to become it, granting wishes to others while taking something from each. Diana slowly loses her powers. Max's power spreads, Barbara becomes the predator Cheetah, and Diana learns the only way to undo the damage is to renounce wishes, including Steve.

How Wonder Woman 1984 ends

Diana gives Steve up, regains her powers and defeats Cheetah. Max takes over a broadcast satellite to grant wishes to the whole world, and the world tips toward nuclear war. Diana uses the Lasso of Truth to reach everyone and convince them to renounce their wishes, and Max gives his up to save his son. Months later, Diana meets the man whose body Steve used.

Post-credits scenes

Yes. In a mid-credits scene, Asteria, a legendary Amazon played by Lynda Carter, lifts a falling flagpole to save a woman, revealing she is alive and living among humans.

The Suicide Squad recap

Amanda Waller sends two teams of convicts to the island nation of Corto Maltese after a coup puts an anti-American regime in power. The first team, led by Rick Flag with Harley Quinn among them, is massacred on the beach, a decoy for the second. That team is led by the mercenary Bloodsport, with Peacemaker, Ratcatcher 2, King Shark and the Polka-Dot Man. Their target is Jotunheim, a Nazi-era lab where scientists have been experimenting on Starro, a giant alien starfish. Harley escapes the new dictator, and Flag joins up with the second team. Inside the lab, the Thinker reveals the US government ran the experiments, and Waller wants it covered up. Peacemaker, under secret orders, kills Flag to keep the secret, and Bloodsport shoots him.

How The Suicide Squad ends

The lab is destroyed and Starro breaks free, rampaging through the city. Bloodsport's team stays to fight it, and Waller tries to blow their heads, until her staff knock her out. Ratcatcher 2 summons the city's rats and Harley pierces Starro's eye, killing it. Bloodsport blackmails Waller into freeing the survivors.

Post-credits scenes

Yes. In a mid-credits scene, Peacemaker is revealed alive in a hospital, recruited by Waller's agents Economos and Harcourt for a new mission, setting up the Peacemaker series. In a post-credits scene, Weasel, thought dead, gets up and runs off.

Peacemaker recap

This entry covers season 1 (2022); season 2, set in the new DCU, has its own entry. Christopher Smith, Peacemaker, survives Bloodsport's bullet and is assigned to Project Butterfly, a black-ops team under Clemson Murn with agents Emilia Harcourt, John Economos and Leota Adebayo, a newcomer secretly working for her mother Amanda Waller. They are hunting "butterflies", alien parasites that have taken over people in positions of power. Chris struggles with the influence of his father Auggie, a violent white supremacist known as the White Dragon, and teams up with the unhinged Vigilante, Adrian Chase, and his pet bald eagle, Eagly. Economos frames Auggie for Chris's crimes, and Auggie escapes prison to hunt his son. Murn turns out to be a butterfly himself, one working against the invasion.

How Peacemaker ends

Chris kills his father. Murn is killed, and the team learns the butterflies feed on a giant cow on a farm. They kill the cow, wiping out the invaders' food supply. Leota exposes her mother's operation to the press. The Justice League arrive just too late to help.

Black Adam recap

In ancient Kahndaq, a slave boy gets the powers of the Council of Wizards and frees his people. Five thousand years later, Kahndaq is occupied by the crime syndicate Intergang, and archaeologist Adrianna Tomaz finds the Crown of Sabbac. Under attack, she frees Teth-Adam, the legendary champion entombed beneath the city, who wipes out the soldiers. The Justice Society, Hawkman, Doctor Fate, Atom Smasher and Cyclone, is sent in to contain him. Adam is ruthless and kills freely. Adrianna's son Amon wants him to become a hero, and Adam reveals the truth: the champion was his son Hurut, who gave Adam his powers to save him, and Adam's rage destroyed Kahndaq's capital.

How Black Adam ends

Ishmael, Adrianna's colleague, is the last heir of the king and is reborn as Sabbac, a demon. Doctor Fate dies holding him off, and Adam, Hawkman and the people of Kahndaq defeat Sabbac. Adam refuses to rule but accepts the role of Kahndaq's protector.

Post-credits scenes

Yes. In a mid-credits scene, Amanda Waller warns Black Adam not to leave Kahndaq, and Superman, played by Henry Cavill, appears to tell him they should talk.

Shazam! Fury of the Gods recap

Two years later, Billy Batson and his foster family fight crime as superheroes, but Billy is scared of the family drifting apart as he ages out of foster care. Hespera and Kalypso, daughters of the god Atlas, steal the Wizard's staff from a museum and use it to take the gods' powers back from the Shazam family. They trap Philadelphia under a dome and seek a golden apple from the Tree of Life that Billy has hidden in the Rock of Eternity. Their younger sister Anthea grows close to Freddy. Kalypso betrays her sisters, takes the apple and plants it in the city to grow a new tree, unleashing monsters and the dragon Ladon.

How Shazam! Fury of the Gods ends

Billy overloads the staff to destroy the tree, killing Kalypso and himself. Wonder Woman uses the staff to restore the gods' power, which brings Billy back. The family rebuilds the Rock of Eternity and keeps fighting together.

Post-credits scenes

Yes. In a mid-credits scene, Emilia Harcourt and John Economos offer Billy a place in the Justice Society, which he mistakes for the Justice League. In a post-credits scene, Sivana in prison complains to Mister Mind that two years have passed with nothing happening.

The Flash recap

Barry Allen, still haunted by his mother's murder and his father's wrongful conviction for it, learns he can run fast enough to travel through time. Against Bruce Wayne's warning, he goes back and saves his mother Nora by putting a can of tomatoes in her cart. Returning to the present, he lands in a different timeline and meets his younger self, who has no powers yet. Barry recreates the accident that gives his younger self speed and loses his own in the process. In this world Zod is about to invade, and none of the Justice League exist except a retired Batman, played by Michael Keaton. They free Kara Zor-El, Supergirl, from a Russian prison to fight Zod.

How The Flash ends

Kara and Bruce die again and again as the two Barrys rewind time trying to win. An older, corrupted Barry, the Dark Flash, is revealed to be the young Barry, who refused to stop trying. Barry lets his mother die, restoring the timeline, and gets his father cleared. When Barry returns, Bruce Wayne now looks like George Clooney, a sign the world has changed.

Post-credits scenes

Yes. In a post-credits scene, a drunk Arthur Curry stumbles out of a bar with Barry and falls asleep in a puddle as Barry explains the multiverse.

Blue Beetle recap

Jaime Reyes returns from college to Palmera City to find his family on the edge of eviction. Jenny Kord gives him a stolen alien artifact, the Scarab, and it fuses with him, giving him a powered armour suit with a mind of its own. Jenny's aunt Victoria Kord, who runs Kord Industries, wants the Scarab for her OMAC soldier program, and sends her enforcer Carapax after it. Jaime, Jenny and his uncle Rudy find a secret lab belonging to Jenny's missing father Ted, a former Blue Beetle. Victoria's men attack the Reyes home, and Jaime's father Alberto dies of a heart attack. Jaime is taken to Victoria's island fortress, where she tries to remove the Scarab.

How Blue Beetle ends

Jaime's family, including his grandmother, storms the island. Jaime defeats Carapax and the Scarab shows him Carapax's memories of Victoria killing his mother and turning him into a weapon, so Jaime spares him. Carapax turns on Victoria and destroys the fortress, killing them both. Jenny takes over Kord Industries and promises to rebuild the Reyes home.

Post-credits scenes

Yes. In a mid-credits scene, a garbled message from Ted Kord says he is alive and stranded somewhere. In a post-credits scene, Rudy's stop-motion short about a Mexican TV hero returns as a joke.

Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom recap

Arthur Curry is king of Atlantis and a father to a baby son with Mera. Black Manta, with the help of Dr. Stephen Shin, finds the Black Trident in Antarctica, which possesses him with the spirit of Kordax, the ancient king who created the lost kingdom of Necrus. Manta burns orichalcum, a fuel that speeds global warming, to free Kordax. To find Manta, Arthur breaks his brother Orm out of prison, and the two travel from the Sahara to a pirate island. Manta attacks Atlantis and kidnaps Arthur's son, needing royal blood to open Necrus.

How Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom ends

Arthur and Orm fight Manta at Necrus, and the two brothers destroy the Black Trident together. Manta falls to his death. Orm goes into exile in the Sahara, and Arthur reveals Atlantis to the world, asking for it to join the United Nations. It is the last DCEU film.

Post-credits scenes

Yes. In a mid-credits scene, Orm, trying a burger as Arthur suggested, sees a cockroach on the table and eats it, remembering Arthur's joke that they are a delicacy. It sets up nothing further.

Watchmen: Chapter I recap

This animated adaptation follows the graphic novel closely. In an alternate 1985, the Comedian, Eddie Blake, is thrown from his window to his death, and Rorschach, a vigilante still working outside the law, decides someone is hunting former heroes. He warns Dan Dreiberg, the retired Nite Owl, Laurie Juspeczyk, the Silk Spectre, Adrian Veidt and Doctor Manhattan, who mostly brush him off. He questions the retired villain Moloch, Edward Jacobi. Flashbacks show the heroes' pasts. Laurie drifts away from Manhattan and closer to Dan. After a press conference ambush in which Manhattan is accused of giving former associates cancer, he exiles himself to Mars, and Cold War tensions grow.

How Watchmen: Chapter I ends

Rorschach returns to Jacobi's apartment to find him shot dead, in a trap. Police surround the building, and after a fight Rorschach is overpowered and unmasked as Walter Kovacs. The story continues directly in Chapter II.

Yes. During the end credits, radio recordings of 1940s heroes play, but there is no scene after them.

Watchmen: Chapter II recap

In prison, Walter Kovacs tells psychiatrist Malcolm Long how he became Rorschach, while the crime boss Big Figure plots to kill him. Dan Dreiberg and Laurie Juspeczyk return to costume as Nite Owl and Silk Spectre and break Rorschach out during a riot; he kills Big Figure. Doctor Manhattan takes Laurie to Mars, where she learns the Comedian was her biological father. Her grief convinces him that human life is worth saving. Rorschach and Nite Owl trace Pyramid Holdings to Adrian Veidt's Antarctic retreat, Karnak.

How Watchmen: Chapter II ends

Veidt has teleported a genetically engineered creature into New York, killing millions, to fake an alien attack and unite the world. The heroes agree to keep the secret, but Rorschach refuses and Manhattan kills him at his request, then leaves Earth. Dan and Laurie visit Laurie's dying mother Sally, and Laurie forgives her.

Post-credits scenes

During the credits, the publisher Benny Anger, frustrated by the new peace, has his assistant search the "crank files", where the assistant finds Rorschach's journal detailing Veidt's conspiracy.

Creature Commandos recap

Amanda Waller forms Task Force M, a team of monsters from Belle Reve, because human prisoners are too risky. General Rick Flag Sr., father of the late Rick Flag, leads the Bride, the reanimated wife made by Victor Frankenstein; Doctor Phosphorus; G.I. Robot, a Second World War killing machine; the Weasel; and Nina Mazursky, an amphibious woman. Their mission is to protect Princess Ilana Rostovic of Pokolistan from the sorceress Circe. Each episode also tells one member's past. Eric Frankenstein, Victor's creature, wants the Bride for himself and comes after her. G.I. Robot is destroyed, and Circe warns that protecting Ilana will doom the world. Waller sees a vision of Ilana ruling a ruined future and orders the team to kill her, but Flag refuses, and the team learns Clayface has been impersonating one of Waller's contacts.

How Creature Commandos ends

Ilana sends Nina to kill Waller's rivals, then murders Nina when the plan is exposed. Waller calls off the mission, and the Bride kills Ilana to avenge Nina. A new Task Force M is assembled with a rebuilt G.I. Robot and King Shark. A post-credits scene shows Eric Frankenstein alive and recovering. A second season has been ordered.

Superman recap

Superman has been active for three years when he stops the nation of Boravia from invading its neighbour Jarhanpur, which upsets governments everywhere. Billionaire Lex Luthor sends the Hammer of Boravia to beat him, and Superman retreats to the Fortress of Solitude with his dog Krypto. Lois Lane, who knows he is Clark Kent and has started dating him, pushes him on whether he acts alone. Luthor's team breaks into the Fortress, restores the damaged second half of his parents' message, which tells Kal-El to rule Earth, and broadcasts it. Public opinion turns, and Superman surrenders and is held in Luthor's pocket universe, where Luthor uses Metamorpho's son as leverage against him. Metamorpho frees Superman, and Lois and Mister Terrific of the Justice Gang help rescue the others.

How Superman ends

Lois and Jimmy Olsen prove Luthor backed Boravia's invasion. Luthor opens a rift that tears Metropolis apart; Superman beats Ultraman, Luthor's clone, and Mister Terrific closes the rift. Luthor confesses he framed Superman out of envy and is arrested. Kara Zor-El arrives at the Fortress to collect Krypto, and Superman watches footage of his childhood on the farm.

Post-credits scenes

Yes. In a mid-credits scene, Superman sits on the moon holding Krypto, looking at Earth. In a post-credits scene, Superman points out an uneven seam in a building Mister Terrific repaired, and Terrific walks off in disgust.

Peacemaker: Season 2 recap

After Superman, Chris Smith finds a door in his quantum storage room to an alternate Earth where his father Auggie and brother Keith are alive and celebrated as heroes. He fights his counterpart there, Peacemaker-2, who dies in his arms. A.R.G.U.S., now run by Rick Flag Sr., who wants revenge for his son's death, puts John Economos under watch and raids Chris's home, and Eagly fights off the agents. On the other Earth, Chris meets an alternate Harcourt who is dating an alternate Rick Flag Jr. Chris decides to stay there for good, but the 11th Street Kids follow him and learn that world is ruled by Nazis. Flag Sr. makes a deal with Lex Luthor to find the portal. Adrian Chase kills the alternate Auggie, and Keith is badly hurt.

How Peacemaker: Season 2 ends

The team escapes back home, where A.R.G.U.S. is waiting, and Chris surrenders the portal. Harcourt and Sasha Bordeaux leave A.R.G.U.S., Chris and Harcourt get together, and the group starts an agency called Checkmate. Then Flag Sr. kidnaps Chris and traps him in Salvation, a barren dimension A.R.G.U.S. has chosen as a prison for metahumans. James Gunn has said there will be no third season, and Salvation leads into Man of Tomorrow (2027).

Supergirl recap

When Krypton exploded, Zor-El and Alura saved a piece of it, Argo City, where their daughter Kara grew up while its exposed kryptonite slowly killed its people. After Alura died, Kara and her dog Krypto were sent to Earth, where her cousin Kal-El took them in. On her 23rd birthday, partying across the galaxy, Kara meets Ruthye, a young woman whose family was murdered by the bandit Krem. Kara refuses to help with Ruthye's revenge, until Krem steals her ship and poisons Krypto, who has three days to live. Kara and Ruthye chase Krem, who carries the antidote, from planet to planet. On one, they fight off the Brigands, who kidnap women as brides, with help from the bounty hunter Lobo. On another, a green sun leaves Kara powerless.

How Supergirl ends

Kara recovers under a yellow sun, puts on her Supergirl suit, and with Lobo frees the Brigands' captives. She talks Ruthye out of killing Krem, then kills him herself with his own sword, and saves Krypto with the antidote. Back on Earth, she tells her cousin she is staying for good. Kara returns in Man of Tomorrow (2027).

Lanterns recap

In 2026, the veteran Green Lantern Hal Jordan is found dead in Rushville, Nebraska, and a hologram of his mind sends his former trainee John Stewart back there. The story moves between that investigation and 2016, when Hal and a newly recruited John first came to Rushville to look into a mass shooting at a high school football game. In 2016, Hal exposes the suspect, Waylon Sanders, as an alien; aliens led by Antaan kidnap John and demand that a hidden Manhunter, an ancient killing machine, be found within 48 hours; and Hal clashes with local rancher Will Macon. Flashbacks show John's strict childhood training, his discharge from the Marines and his recruitment, and Hal's father's death. The Manhunter is Zoe, who also killed Abin Sur; she levels Rushville, and John shoots her and takes the ring from the dying Hal, then hands it to the Guardians. In 2026, Sheriff Kerry Kane, Hal's partner, and the escaped Sinestro complicate John's search.

How Lanterns ends

Kerry's son Noah is a Manhunter hybrid who freed Sinestro to forge a lantern charged with fear; he asks John to kill him, and John spares him. Kerry killed Hal to protect Noah, and John lets her go. John charges his ring with his own unsanctioned lantern and becomes an independent Green Lantern for Earth, leaving space to Guy Gardner. John returns in Man of Tomorrow (2027); a second season has not been announced.
