The story

Earth is peaceful following the Tournament of Power. Realizing that the universes still hold many more strong people yet to see, Goku spends all his days training to reach even greater heights. Then one day, Goku and Vegeta are faced by a Saiyan called 'Broly' who they've never seen before. The Saiyans were supposed to have been almost completely wiped out in the destruction of Planet Vegeta, so what's this one doing on Earth? This encounter between the three Saiyans who have followed completely different destinies turns into a stupendous battle, with even Frieza (back from Hell) getting caught up in the mix.

Dragon Ball Super: Broly recap

Forty-one years earlier, King Vegeta exiles Broly, a baby with frightening power, to a barren planet, Vampa, and Broly's father Paragus follows him to raise him for revenge. The Saiyan Bardock sends his son Kakarot, Goku, to Earth before Frieza destroys planet Vegeta. In the present, Frieza's soldiers find Broly and Paragus and bring them to Earth to fight Goku and Vegeta, while Frieza tries to steal the Dragon Balls. The battle in the Antarctic goes on as Broly, with no control over his own rage, grows stronger, and Frieza kills Paragus to trigger Broly's Super Saiyan form. Goku and Vegeta use the Fusion Dance to become Gogeta.
