The story

Twins separated at birth, Camryn and Alex meet by chance for the first time on their 21st birthday and discover they're witches with the power to save their homeland of Coventry from the evil that threatens it. But when Camryn leaves Alex to face the darkness alone, will Coventry be doomed? Or will the sisters multiply their magic by standing together?

Twitches recap

On Halloween in the magical land of Coventry, Queen Miranda has twin daughters, and their father Aron dies protecting them from an evil force called the Darkness. Two guardians, Karsh and Ileana, hide the babies on Earth to be raised apart. Twenty-one years later, Camryn Barnes is an artist who loves mornings and Alex Fielding is a night owl who writes stories about magical twins without knowing they are true. On their birthday the guardians lead them into the same store, and they meet. They learn they are princesses with complementary powers, and a prophecy says only the two of them together can defeat the Darkness. Alex hesitates, Camryn goes back to her normal life for her birthday party, and their uncle Thantos, who has married Miranda, tries to drive them apart.

Twitches ending explained

Camryn realises from one of her drawings that Thantos controls the Darkness, and he admits he killed Aron to take the throne. Karsh and Ileana sacrifice themselves to get Camryn back to Coventry, and the twins combine their powers to defeat Thantos. That restores Coventry and brings Miranda and the guardians back. The sisters celebrate their birthday on Earth with Camryn's adoptive parents. Twitches Too followed in 2007.
