The story
After visiting the Rengoku residence, Tanjirou and his comrades volunteer for a mission within the Entertainment District, a place where desires are sold and demons dwell. They journey alongside the flashy Sound Hashira, Tengen Uzui, in search of a monstrous foe terrorizing the town. Sworn to slay creatures of the night, the hunt continues.
Demon Slayer: Entertainment District Arc recap
The Sound Hashira, Tengen Uzui, has lost contact with his three wives, who went undercover as courtesans in Yoshiwara, the red-light district. He takes Tanjiro, Zenitsu and Inosuke along, disguised as girls, to search three houses. The demon hiding there is Daki, Upper Rank Six, posing as a top courtesan and trapping girls in her obi sashes. Tanjiro fights her and his anger nearly breaks him, while Nezuko, provoked, goes berserk in a half-demon form until Tanjiro calms her with a lullaby. Uzui beheads Daki, but she does not die: her brother Gyutaro emerges from her body, and the two share the rank, so they must be beheaded at the same moment. Gyutaro poisons Uzui and turns the fight into a long battle that levels the district. Uzui's wives join the fight, and Tanjiro, badly wounded, keeps going on willpower.
Demon Slayer: Entertainment District Arc ending explained
Tanjiro, Zenitsu and Inosuke behead Daki and Gyutaro at the same time, with Uzui leading the attack despite his wounds. Nezuko burns the poison out of Uzui and Inosuke with her blood demon art. The siblings blame each other as they die, then are reminded of their human lives and reconcile on the way to Hell. Uzui retires from the Corps, and Muzan rages at the loss of an Upper Moon.
