The story
Newly-paroled former US Army ranger Cameron Poe is headed back to his wife, but must fly home aboard a prison transport flight dubbed "Jailbird" taking the “worst of the worst” prisoners, a group described as “pure predators”, to a new super-prison. Poe faces impossible odds when the transport plane is skyjacked mid-flight by the most vicious criminals in the country led by the mastermind — genius serial killer Cyrus "The Virus" Grissom, and backed by black militant Diamond Dog and psychopath Billy Bedlam.
Con Air recap
Army Ranger Cameron Poe is jailed for killing a man while defending his pregnant wife. Eight years later he is paroled and flies home on a prison transport plane full of the country's worst convicts, including Cyrus "the Virus" Grissom, Diamond Dog and the serial killer Garland Greene. Cyrus and his crew take over the plane. Poe could walk away, but stays aboard to protect a guard and his diabetic cellmate Baby-O. On the ground, US Marshal Vince Larkin tracks the plane and argues with a DEA agent who wants to shoot it down. The convicts land in the desert to get a getaway plane, and Poe secretly helps Larkin.
Con Air ending explained
The plane crashes onto the Las Vegas Strip. Cyrus and others escape on a fire truck, and Poe and Larkin chase them; Cyrus is crushed by a pile driver. Poe meets his daughter for the first time. Garland Greene sits in a casino playing craps.
